What book are you recommending right now?

BIG MAGIC for nonfiction, for Fiction, I will always recommend THE HAZELWOOD. For poetry, I'll say anything Maya Angelou or Mary Oliver.

If your story beast had a form, what would it be?

My storybeast could never be anything other than a creature of the sea, as though a horse and a dragon came to be one being. She's fluid and fierce, graceful and mystical. She flashes in iridescent colors, milky white and lavender, golden, the palest aqua and periwinkle. I don't know her name yet. We are still learning each other, this far into the process. But I know she is here to help me get stronger, to dig deeper inside myself. When I think of her, I smile, knowing I'm guided.

If you could meet one story character, who would it be and why?

I would love to meet any of MY characters, of course! But for someone else's book, I'll say maybe Marianne from Sense & Sensibility. I feel we have passion in common, and I've always liked her. My teenage self would say Dante from the Carval series though!

Almost always savory, and lately samosas, but otherwise spicy chili Doritos, cottage cheese with black pepper, or this beer/cheese dip with crackers. Does pizza count as a snack? Sushi? I love food...
